Slice of Cake - September 2018

Its Over...But it get better.....

Well that went by in a flash......Now its Autumn. Season of colour and clearing up. Its been difficult to know when to put away the summer and bring out the woollies. I did go a have a little buy of what we call ‘transitionals’, which included some animal print dresses and silky tops along with some finer knit jumpers. The new collection from Pomodoro is now on the rails and I have updated the Habit Travel collection with more on the way. There are also some really fun pom pom jumpers in from Fenella. So ladies it’s worth a trip into town to have a look. New Jewellery, scarves and so much more.

News on the Street This is a busy time of year for me (what’s new!) with several fashion shows and getting the shop ready for winter. St Peters Street is also busy. We had to cancel our September Street Market. It clashed with the Aldeburgh Food and Drink festival.

But we are now taking bookings for our winter one which is on Sunday 2nd December. We are looking for a whole range of artisans but want to make it more foodie. Pass the word. We now welcome Emma’s Florist who is next to me so I am treated to a daily explosion of beautiful flowers right next door to me. It’s just lovely. In the old Ice Scream shop we now have the Harry Potter experience shop and Merchant House are now revamping their shop with an exciting new adventure. Jenny Wren Yarns won a top national award and Crafty Baba have been nominated for another. This street is buzzing.
