Slice of Cake - August 2018

Here we go again, moving swiftly into the autumn. I have loved this summer and really don’t want it to end.

Cake & Catwalk celebrates 3 years being here at St Peters Street next week. Feels like yesterday and I am still having a great time. Always busy, busy, planning, buying and doing. The shop still has plenty of summer linens and holiday bargains. I have reduced Envy necklaces, so think about buying ahead for Christmas gifts. A Postcard from Brighton has 20% reductions and now the weather has dimmed, it’s a great time to get this soft comfortable lounge outfits.

The new stock is arriving and will be out the last week of August. Still trying to get excited about handbags. I have the Hi DI Hi Collection in from Holland but need to find some different ones for the winter.

We have 3 Gigs in the Garden left for August. Weather permitting as usual, (it has been challenging)!

Friday 24th We have Exit 13 and Belinda Gillett for 7pm. £5 entry. Bring your own etc. Sunday 26th. Holly D Johnston and Osian Rhys. From 3pm..£5. Bring your own food and refreshments. . I will light the BBQ so if you want to pop any goodies on! This will be my own 3 year celebration of being here so will be in the party mood.

Friday 31st. Highlight of the month for me, we have the adorable Josh and the Lockerbillies. From 7pm, £10...Bring your own etc. There definitely will be dancing and a rocking good time.

News on the Street We have another Saints Food and Craft Street Market on Sunday 30th September from 10am. Looking for fabulous food and craft people to take a stall. Only £50 which includes the licence and gazebo. Contact www.thesaintsipswich.com or pop into Crafty Baba or LoveOne.

The Saints bid farewell to Charlotte from Myrtle and Mints Florist, who has returned to Essex and is concentrating on her wedding flower side of the business but we welcome Emma of Emma Florist, who is very well established and is developing not only her business but her floristry talents. We are delighted she is joining us and she will opening on the last week of August.

We have some sad news here on the Saints. Malcolm who has the Sports Shop died very suddenly last week. We were all very fond of Malcolm, he was a very kind, generous and jolly man. He will be sadly missed.
